Unexpected Cancellation

Keeping up with the blog is not the easiest task these days. I really enjoy taking pictures and picking my outfits everyday, but most of them go undocumented. Working full time and going to school is no easy task in itself, but hey, who lives life without a challenge? I am going to try and work more pictures into my week. My afternoon turned out better than expected when my class was cancelled (jumping up and down). I went shopping these past few weeks and got some great items. Can't wait to share! On to the pictures: Casual Friday calls for cozy, but cute. Got this great new top and black pair of pants from Zara. My new MJ watch in the last picture, which goes with just about everything, is a great accessory. Can't wait to relax this weekend, hopefully I can catch up on life.

Thank you, Mr. Presidents

Happy President's Day everyone ha. As a reminder of all the scandal that has occurred throughout history with our lovely presidents, I got to have the day off from school and work (bonus). I was able to go thrifting and get some much needed rest. Friday was one of the more exciting days at work because once everyone is aware of the extended weekend approaching, there is a more positive mood in the air (plus happy hour). To go along with my mood, I wore this lovely sea foam green colored skirt. It has to be my new favorite buy, such a distinct color and the fabric is so light. I also bought this sweater because I was in dire need of something white and woven. I also had a chance to wear my new Marc Jacobs watch, it goes with pretty much everything.
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend! I'm looking forward to a 4-day work week.

So Now That I've Caught Myself

 J. Mendel had some great black and white looks! Black is my go to color, but trust me, I love me some white! Having a combo of both was really refreshing even though they had some great mixed looks. I'm not condoning the use of fur, but they had a fabulous little skirt that would look good on.

Look from Jason Wu's runway, very feminine and so many little details. The coat on the right has some great shoulder detailing, I need it.

I also loved most of the looks from Proenza Schouler. There is a good amount of black and white coming back for Fall, which I love. I also like how they know a woman's body and the silhouettes are both boxy and fitted.

I wish I could post all of my favorite looks, but that would get a little cray. Fashion week is always fun, so hopefully I'll get to attend one day! Hopefully this Fall ;) What were your favorite looks?

Simple Black Tee? Not.

I wanted to buy a cool t-shirt like this for a while. I trick everyone, when they finally think "hey, this girl is finally wearing something normal". Guess again slores! I LOVE Simple things that have an edge to them. This t-shirt is one thing I saw online at Zara.com that I had to have. It was on the website, and I decided to wait a day. Next, day, gone! I called every store in the city and hunted this bad boy down and got it! You're probably thinking, "all that for a t-shirt"? Well, little do you know it was only $19.90! I think I won this little mental comment battle. I added some accessories because it is so simple, and I wanted to add some more edge. What do you guys think? Here's to the 3rd day of NYFW!

Pink to End the Week

How happy was I for this Friday? VERY. End of a long week of schooling and working. I should be optimistic like oh, at least I get the weekends off and I have one more semester to finish, right? I should, but oh well. At least I have clothes to make my days more interesting! This is a dress I've had for a while, but haven't been able to get a shot in. I guess you could call it an "ice skater" type dress, and it fits me so well. It is still chilly here in the NYC, so I threw on some tights and a black blazer from Zara. Why am I not smiling in this pictures you ask? For one I get home at different hours of the night thanks to the lovely professors at FIT that think I need all three hours of the time in class, and my eyelids won the battle shortly after these pictures. Tired is an understatement ladies/gents. Regardless, I look forward to an awesome weekend of homework and shopping. How's that for optimism! Have a great weekend everyone

Denim 'n Things

don't mind the blurriness; it was clocking out time
Almost near the end of the week, and I am itching to finish off my first week of school! It has been a hectic week to say the least, but I have managed to look half decent for the first week. Here I am today, heading out the door. Friday is almost here, so I am definitely looking forward to relaxing and getting to my Target for the Jason Wu collection. Anyone else as excited as I am? There are so many cute pieces! I will post my outfit for tomorrow, hopefully, before class. Friday couldn't come any sooner this week.
