How To: Wear your Boyfriends'/Guy Friends Clothes

I've been meaning to do a How To on wearing your bf's or men's clothing. This is a shirt from Zara's men's collection. It has a great floral print, which I LOVE. To feminize this shirt,  I threw on some dark wash skinny jeans from Joe Fresh (they are amazing). The biker jacket from Forever21 adds some edge and a fitted silhouette because this shirt is a little wide on me. To make it even more feminine, I like to add cute shoes, like these kitten heels from H&M. You can go higher if you like, but I have to walk the streets of NYC, and I am too prone to falls. If you like to wear makeup, I would do simple with maybe a cat eye and a pretty shade of plum lipstick. Hope you guys have fun mixing it up in the men's department, I know I always do. Try the boy's section as well, the fit is much better for the smaller framed girls like myself!

Some Goodies/ Random Shots

hand of a hard worker

Bracelets: Forever21 & my friend Lourdes designs Jewelry

Hey everyone! Here are a few shots from the past week. The first shot is of my favorite shopping bag from Uniqlo. The reason I even bought something was because those bags were running out and I HAD to have one. I also have been trying to wear bracelets, especially the pretty pink one my good friend made me (she is awesome and very talented). I love my Lola perfume by Marc Jacobs. The last shot is of when I was over by Madison Avenue. So many great shops, so little time. Enjoy the end of the week, I know I will.

Going SW

pumpkin deliciousness

leaning, just leaning
What a gorg day in NYC! I was prepared for much colder weather, but it turned out for the best outfit-wise. I started to wander around after class while I awaited my bf. The first few shots are of me in a little restaurant off of 9th near the new Sephora store. The store itself was small and they only had a few sections compared to the stores on 34th and 42nd. I overheard some employee saying that only the best selling items are sold at that location. What type of foolery is that, what if I want something that isn't as popular as everything else!? Since no one was bothering to answer all of my compelling questions, I left, happily to my next destination. There is a cute little restaurant called Bill's Bar and Burgers where I had an AMAZING pumpkin milkshake. Must try! The perfect ending to my day of schooling. This outfit is something I cautiously laid out threw on in the morning while getting ready for school. Threw my hair up in a bun cause that's how I do on Saturdays.

Jason Wu for Target

It is the truth! Jason Wu is the next designer collaboration that Target will be launching on February 5, 2012. Hopefully Target will be prepared this time around compared to when they launched the Missoni for Target collection, which I gave up on eventually. I really only wanted to a get a girls' sweater, the one with the purple flower with the black background. Jason Wu is mainly famous for designing Michelle Obama's Inauguration dress, which really helped to launch his brand into the public eye. I think he will come out with some great pieces and am hopefully looking forward to grabbing one or two pieces myself, especially at the awesome prices that Target has.

Yo, Fresh; It's Joe Fresh

Hey all! So I was in class on a Friday night, (yes, it's true) and I get a lovely announcement about this new store, Joe Fresh. At first I'm like WTF is this place? Some type of Kmart Joe Boxer spin off? I was mildly surprised people. This place is like the new H&M/ Uniqlo. It has almost everything you could want in a basic format (turtle necks, white long sleeve t-shirts) for under $100, and in such great materials. The store opened its' doors on 16th and 5th Avenue this past Thursday, and I got to sample some of the great items they had on Saturday. Their amazing intro sale had $19 cords, shirts, skirts, the whole lot. I had to get the black cords, since it was slapped in my face for $19. How could a girl resist? They also have men's and children's clothing too. This place is going to be buzzing in the next few days, especially since they are opening another one on 34th street. Thanks for blowing my amazingly non-secret/secret spot Joe Fresh! I still love you, and I'll be seeing you soon for the metallic fringe skirt and evergreen cashmere sweater.
